Abdurrahman Wahid (also known as Gus Dur) (born September 7, 1940) is an Indonesian Muslim religious and political leader who served as the (fourth) President of Indonesia from 1999 to 2001. The long-time president of the Nahdlatul Ulama and the founder of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Wahid was the first elected president of Indonesia after the fall of the Suharto regime in 1998.[1]

Bacharuddin Jusuf (BJ) Habibie (born June 25, 1936), more commonly known simply as Rudi Habibie or BJ Habibie, was the third President of Indonesia, holding office from 1998 to 1999.[1]
An aeronautical engineer who became Indonesia’s minister of technical development and eventually Indonesia president, B.J. Habibie (born 1936) was a lifelong devotee of Indonesian dictator Suharto. When student riots and economic turmoil forced Suharto from office, he named Habibie as his successor.
