Omar and Osama bin Laden

Media loves controversy because it drives attention from readers. ‘Bad news is a good news’ says the villain in the James Bond’s “Tomorrow Never Dies”. Bad news does not necessarily only means natural disaster, war, collateral damages, terrorism or anything that could easily be comprehended as closely related to blood and death. It could aslo stand for anything that consists of a sort of paradoxical meaning from the perceived understanding of common people about something or someone. That’s why the recent brouhaha of Umar (Omar) bin Laden son of Osama bin Laden who offered to bridge peaceful solution between his father and the West got so much attention from the media, and the readers because it offers the extreme paradox from what the world, particularly the West, perceived with the word “bin Ladin”
For Saudis, the familiy name Bin Ladin connotes more to “a wealthy family intimately connected with the innermost circles of the Saudi royal family.” For the rest of the world, especially the West and US after 9/11/2001 twin towers terrorist attack, bin Laden means nothing but terror, horror, blood and death.
Obviously we do not need a political pundit or terrorism experts to know that Omar bin Laden statement to bring peace and bridging differences between his father and George W. Bush was just a rubbish or a joke. Yet every world media made a huge proportion to this news. As mentioned above the reason is quite simple: it brings curiosity, “good news” and fun. It entertain in some ways to see the braided peacenik son, who just married a British woman, is speaking calmly, just like his dreaded father, before a lot of journalista about his “plan” to bring peace to the world.
The global peace plan of Omar bin Laden doesn’t really matter. The unlike father unlike son is. It’s fun and entertaining. Really is.

Osama… hmmm…so famous name… I don’t know how many people hate osama and love osama, don’t you? I just know that Osama is phenomenon, yup… A couple people said that he is died but another one he is still alive..With his son as regeneration, Osama still a live. Never endin’ for terorism… but we have to fight terorist, Deals!
