A survey reveals that
London is the dirtiest and most expensive European city according to a survey of well-travelled tourists.
The UK capital edged Paris into second place for both unwanted titles according to the study from the TripAdvisor company.
Those who want a bargain holiday head first for stag party favourites Prague and Budapest, while visitors looking for a clean environment love Zurich and Copenhagen.
Suppose the survey was conducted around the world, would Jakarta, the Indonesia’s capital, get the ‘honor’ in the top ten slot?
Update: another survey, meanwhile, reveals that Moscow is the third rudest city. One thing that amazes me to no end is that the first and second ‘award’ won by, well, Paris and London:
Surly babushkas. Sky-high prices. Hotels that claim to have only pricey deluxe suites available when many of the rooms are obviously empty.
These are some of the complaints that foreign visitors to Moscow have posted on the web site TripAdvisor, which released a survey this week calling the Russian capital the third-unfriendliest city in Europe.
Moscow ranked third in a list of “European Cities with the Most Unfriendly Hosts” according to the more than 1,400 travelers from around the world queried by TripAdvisor, a portal that calls itself the world’s largest online travel community, with more than 25 million visitors per month.
The rudest locals live in Paris, while the second-rudest live in London, according to the survey.

haha, bargain holiday to budapest and prague. well, those two cities are indeed very beautiful, I have been living in Budapest for almost 7 months until now and I am still amazed with its landmarks. it’s not that clean though.
London and all across England are also very expensive in football industry
Haha, It is done… according to Forbes magazine newest survey, Jakarta is NOT among 25 dirtiest. Delhi rank 24th, Mumbai 7th, even Moscow rank #14th. Here is the link: http://www.forbes.com/2008/02/26/pollution-baku-oil-biz-logistics-cx_tl_0226dirtycities.html
#Wow, thanks God it’s not there in the top ten dirtiest list. I’m a bit wonder if the Forbes surveyor got bribed from some urban-planning offical in jakarta. haha just a joke.
Well I live in Jakarta from the day I was Born. I guess Jakarta is not that dirty. I really resent the comment that guy on wikitravel said about Jakarta. Any way, I have put your link in my link exchange age. Will you link me back? For those of you who like to exchange link, plese visit my blog
