Problems with Wordpress 2.5 Drafts and Posts

After I upgraded wordpress 2.2 into the latest version of wordpress 2.5, it seems there’s a problem whenever I try to write a posting / article or to upload images or files and to attach it to a post. I thought it due to something wrong with the upgrade process. So I intended to ask my host provider who did the job. Before doing that, I reluctantly googled the www if such problem ever occurred to someone else before.
Bingo! Raj Dash of Performancing.com seemed to have very similar problem like me. Even more he has a good review on the whole wordpress 2.5 performance and dashboard design which he says “disappointing.” Below I quoted from Raj Dash’s experience of what also happens to my blog after upgrading:
Write/ Save. If you publish a post then edit later, when you “Save”, the session does not close. They’ve removed the “Save and continue editing” button and changed the functionality of the “Save” button. Another huge mistake. If the functionality I want/need is still there, its not very evident. I figure that as an experienced WP user, it should be easier, not harder, for me to upgrade to a new version.
Drafts. Every time I create a new post, there are a multiple draft versions created, whose existence seem to have no relation to any activity on my part. What’s more, there are two types of drafts. I get one single draft that has the post title correct, but it’s in addition to my published post. Then there are anywhere from 3-5 drafts whose title is created from a timestamp. If this is happening automatically, there is hopefully a way to turn off this irritating behavior. I just haven’t found it yet. I just can’t fathom any reason for this useless feature. This is not the right way to do versioning. Now, I have to waste my time deleting multiple drafts for every single post I create. [ more ... ]
In addition to that, I also often fail to edit the moderated comment into the approved or spammed ones. It only works when you push the “delete” button. Some other problems were also discussed in the wordpress official forum here. In short if you have yet to move into wp 2.5, waiting for another version is much better off.
Anyone faces similar problem?
Update 29 April: As predicted (due to so many complains with the 2.5 version), Wordpress just released the 2.5.1 one. The official wp site says:
Version 2.5.1 of WordPress is now available. It includes a number of bug fixes, performance enhancements, and one very important security fix. We recommend everyone update immediately, particularly if your blog has open registration.
Hopefully so.

For drafting post, i seldom using drafting post in wp, usually i save it in my txt file (i know it’s an old way

udah tau lom, udah ada versi 2.5.1nya, kalo nggak salah apa yang mas fatih keluhkan udah diperbaiki; saya masih nunggu di fantastico hostingan saya keluar upgrade to 2.5.1 aja deh…..!!!!
upgrade ke 2.5.1 aja mas.. versi 2.5 kmrn saya juga ky gt.. hehehe.. dan di fantastico emang blum keluar.. tapi saya upgrade manual pake http://FTP.. hehe.. abis sering error capek juga..hehe..

WordPress have been releasing upgrades in a time span much too short from one version to another. It’s necessary to have security fixes though, at least they’ve been keeping a record on possible problems and never delay a fix. But come on (!), it can be rather exhausting.
Oh well, at least now we have something to complain about WP.
I dont have any problem with wp 2.5 with default script,but when I publishing a post the page back to the the last edit post,and I got the problem is my browser cache.
recently wordpress do fast development on this blog scripts,wp 2.5 have good feature than before.
kalo saya nemuin masalah kalo pake IE saja, tapi kalo browsernya pake FF lancar-lancar aja mas fatih… masih males upgrade ke wp 5.2.1
iya nih belum ada masalah di FF.
Wp 2.5.1 pengin uopgrade.. tapi bulum ada di cpanelnya.

maybe this problem was point on cache ,just check the browser
