Wordpress 2.7 Wish Lists

Although Wordress version 2.6.2 has just been released a few days ago, Ryan Roben, one of Wordperss developers team opens up a little secret that Wordpress 2.7 is on the pipeline. The WP 2.7 promises a whole lot new features including “reply to comments from the admin, threaded comments and new wp_list_comments() API, automatic plugin install and integrated plugin browser, automatic upgrade of WordPress” and many more.
Unfortunately, I don’t see some changes from wp 2.5 & 2.6 which I expect. Things which I feel a bit distracting. So, I’d like to make this post as a wish list to the wordpress developers team. Here’s my simple wish list I hope I could see in the next wp 2.7:
- I wish the return of “old-days” two sidebars admin that sitting together (see pic. 1). One of the disturbing feature of wp 2.5+ and 2.6+ is you cannot see two sidebars (if you use two sidebar theme) at the same time (see pic 2). Consequently, you cannot drag one widget in Sidebar 1 into Sidebar 2 smoothly. Instead, you need to click “remove” a particular widget in Sidebar 1, and try to find the removed widget in Sidebar 2 (after clicking “show Sidebar 2″). Very unnecessarily complicated. And such a waste of time.
- The content of text-widget in WP 2.5 & 2.6 is uncopyable in IE browser. You cannot copy a text within text-widget nor can you delete it by select-all command. I wish the return of copyable and deleteable-by-select-all command text-widget content in wordpress 2.7 for IE browser.

You are best known as Blogger Indonesia who focus in Wordpress platform so you know more brother, but this is the weakness of W-P that I don’t ilke, We can’t see two side bars at a time…
i still confused about about the wordpress platform and the facility.. i think blogger is the easiest one if somebody want to start make a blog.. i said so because i’d using blogger as my hosting..hehehe
keep up the good work.. the more people learn from you.. one step closer for blogger better future..
yeah. wordpress is unique. but beginners commonly like blogger because it’s simple and we may hack the lay out.
Simple comment editor, drag and drop image to the post, image editor below post editor window (not by flash), more simple media and gallery management.
i think is a good idea to upgrade my wordpress in other my blog.thank you

honestly i like sidebar menu from below wp 3. It’s easy for us if we want setting a widget, especially if we have more than 1 sidebar
