First Anniversary of Quit Smoking
I’ve never celebrated any of my birthday. I’ve also barely attended any birthday celebration of my friends. I always insist that celebrating one’s birthday is a waste of time. Besides birthday is not worth celebrating. If anything, everyday should be celebrated because every single day is important. For me, today is as important as yesterday, tomorrow, next month and next year, etc.

Google Latitude
Multiple wireless technologies help Google’s new Latitude service pinpoint your location
Yesterday, Google Inc. released the real-time location tool Google Latitude and opened up a new world of location-based services (LBS) for both PC and mobile phone users.
Latitude enables you to track friends, family, employees and so on — and vice-versa — in real time.
Can I use Google Latitude? According to Google, if you have any mobile device that supports Google Maps for Mobile v3.0 and above, you’re probably good to go. These include Android-powered devices with Maps v3.0 and above; most color BlackBerry devices; most Windows Mobile 5.0 and above devices; and most Symbian S60 devices.
In the near future, you’ll also be able to use Latitude on iPhone and iPod Touch with the Google Mobile App in the U.S., and on many Sony Ericsson devices.
How to download and install
Googlemobile, the official blog, tells you how:
There are two primary ways to use Latitude right now:
1. On your mobile phone: visit google.com/latitude from your phone’s mobile browser to download Google Maps for mobile with Latitude. We currently support most of the popular smartphone platforms: Android, Blackberry, Symbian S60, and Windows Mobile, and we are hoping to see Latitude on the iPhone soon. It will be available through Google Mobile App, and you’ll just need to download or update the app from the App store to find Latitude in the Apps tab.
2. On your computer: go to google.com/latitude from your browser and add the Latitude gadget to your iGoogle homepage. What’s neat is that if you’ve installed Google Gears or if you’re using Google Chrome, you can choose to automatically share your location from your laptop or desktop computer — no smartphone required!
Ahmadiyya Indonesia
A news many Muslim in Indonesia has expected the Indonesia’s government to do on Ahmadiya much earlier
Indonesia’s Government has placed severe restrictions on the activities of the minority muslim, Ahmadiya sect which has been denounced as deviant by Islamic hardliners. See here the six points of the decree against Ahmadiyya (in Bahasa Indonesia)
The decree, according to Radio Australia reports has
…falls short of the outright ban demanded by fundamentalists.
Barack Obama
The last two primaries which end on Tuesday has ended the fierce battle between two democratic rivals which Obama, as expected, came out as the winner. The news is not who’s the winner, but when will Hillary Clinton budge and concede defeat ro Obama and leave him alone which seems what is happening right now. IHT reports that
Hillary Rodham Clinton will endorse Barack Obama on Saturday, bringing a close to her 17-month campaign for the White House, aides said. Her decision came after Democrats urged her Wednesday to leave the race and allow the party to coalesce around Obama.
No Smoking Day
It’s no smoking day today (Saturday) May 31:
The theme of this year’s World No Smoking Day is ‘Smoking-Free Youth’. Health organisations will again put their heads together to ensure complete enforcement of the Prohibition of Smoking and Protection of Non-Smoker Ordinance 2002. .. Smoking kills 4.9 million people worldwide every year and tobacco will be the biggest cause of premature deaths by 2030 – about 10 million every year.
I am happy that I have the luxury to be able to quit smoking. To be part of those who celebrate it. Really am.

Blogger Indonesia of the Week (83): Rima Fauzi
World is beautiful, every normal and spirited being thinks so. The most salient feature of its beauty lies in the heterogeneity of its populace called human. The differences of our physical appearance, colors of our skin, our eyes and hairs. And on top of it all: the differences of our mindset, preference, leaning and way of thinking we attach to or led or want others to believe. Thus emerges various religions brought about by many prophets, school of thoughts introduced by many great philosophers. It’s natural therefore if every single religion and philosophical thoughts for or against any religion have their own followers. It also means that we have choices to choose to lead our life. Afterall, life is about choice and world gives us freedom to choose. Whatever you wanna be, just be it.

Problems with Wordpress 2.5 Drafts and Posts
After I upgraded wordpress 2.2 into the latest version of wordpress 2.5, it seems there’s a problem whenever I try to write a posting / article or to upload images or files and to attach it to a post. I thought it due to something wrong with the upgrade process. So I intended to ask my host provider who did the job. Before doing that, I reluctantly googled the www if such problem ever occurred to someone else before.
Bingo! Raj Dash of Performancing.com seemed to have very similar problem like me. Even more he has a good review on the whole wordpress 2.5 performance and dashboard design which he says “disappointing.” Below I quoted from Raj Dash’s experience of what also happens to my blog after upgrading:
