Tehran: Second public holiday in a week as attempt to alleviate extreme pollution levels
Teheran: Hari libur kedua dalam seminggu dalam usaha untuk meringankan level polusi yang ekstrim
أعلنت الحكومة أن يومي الأربعاء والخميس هما يومي العطلة الأسبوعية في المصالح العامة من مدارسٍ، مكاتبٍ عامةٍ، جامعاتٍ، وبنوكٍ، والتي ستغلق جميعاً ابوابها في طهران في هذين اليومين بهدف الحد من الانبعاثات الملوثة للسيارات، بالإضافة إلأى التقليل من حدة المرور، واللذان معاً يمثلان أكبر عاملين مساهمين في زيادة مستويات التلوث الخطيرة بالبلاد.
Wednesday and Thursday have been declared public holidays where schools, public offices, universities and banks will close in Tehran, Iran, to cut down on car fume emissions and traffic that are major contributors to the increasingly dangerous pollution levels.
Rabu dan Kamis dinyatakan sebagai hari libur umum di mana sekolah, kantor negara, universitas dan bank akan tutup di Teheran, Iran, untuk memotong emisi asap mobil dan lalu lintas yang menjadi kontributor besar pada level polusi yang semakin meningkat.
حيث تم توجيه النصائح للمسنين، الأطفال والأفراد الذين يعانون من أمراض الرئة والقلب بالبقاء في منازلهم، في حين طُلِبَ من المواطنين الآخرين أن الأفضل تجنب ممارسة الأنشطة خارج المنازل أو حتى استخدام وسائل النقل العام. هذا بالإضافة إلى أن الفئة من الشعب المعرضة لمثل تلك الظروف بحكم وظائفهم سيُطلَبُ منهم ارتداء الأقنعة الطبية.
The elderly, children, and people with lung and heart conditions have been advised to stay home, while other residents have been asked to preferably avoid outdoor activities, or to use public transportation. Those required to be exposed to the conditions by their jobs are required to wear surgical masks.
Kalangan tua, anak-anak dan orang-orang dengan kondisi sakit paru-paru dan jantung disarankan untuk tinggal di rumah, sementara penghuni lain diminta untuk menghindari aktivitas luar, atau memakai transportasi publik. Mereka yang diharuskan oleh pekerjaannya untuk menghadapi kondisi ini diharuskan memakai masker.
وعلى الرغم من وجود انخفاضٍ في معدلات الزحام المروري بنسبة 40% منذ يوم الأربعاء الماضي الممثل للعطلة الأسبوعية العامة (والتي أُقِرَت لنفس السبب)، إلا أن مستويات التلوث ما زالت حرجةً. هذا وقد صرحت وزارة الصحة والتربية الصحية أنه توجد زيادة في أعداد المرضى القبولين بالمستشفيات، لمشاكلٍ حادةٍ في الجهاز التنفسي، وصلت إلى 19% عن معدلاتها السابقة.
Despite a 40% drop in traffic since last Wednesday’s public holiday (appointed for the same reason), pollution levels are still critical. The Ministry of Health and Medical Education says that there is a 19% increase in patients being admitted due to severe respiratory problems.
Walaupun terjadi penurunan 40% lalulintas sejak libur umum Rabu lalu (ditentukan karena alasan yang sama), tingkat polusi masih kritis. Kementerinan Kesehatan dan Pendidikan Medis mengatakan bahwa ada 19% peningkatan pasien yang dirujuk disebabkan oleh masalah pernapasan akut.

Al-Masry al-Youm, quoting the Iranian Minister of Health, Murziyya Waheedy: “Shutting down school or work for the day is not an effective solution… We need to formulate a more effective plan to reduce pollution in the capital.”

Kita butuh untuk memformulasikan rencana yang lebih efektif untuk mengurangi polusi di ibukota.” Dua hari libur di Teheran dan sejumlah kota Iran bertujuan untuk mengatasi krisis meningkatnya tingkat polusi.

بالطبع، فإن الجميع، حتى هؤلاء الذين يهتمون بشؤون البيئة، لن يمنعوا أنفسهم من المزاح بالقول بأن يوم “العطلة” من مزايا التلوث. وقام أحد مستخدمي تويتر بدعوة الجميع إلى تلويث البيئة لهذا السبب، حتى وعلى سبيل المزاح.
Naturally, even those who consider themselves the most environmentally savvy couldn’t save themselves from falling into making the joke that the holiday is a “benefit” of pollution; one Twitter user actually actively called upon people to pollute for said reason, if as a “joke”.
من صحيفة هافنتن بوست: يرى منتقدو القرار أن كل أجازة تكبد البلاد خسائر مالية تقدر بحوالي 130 مليون دولار. وتقوم طهران بين حين وآخر بإعلان أجازات فضلا عن فرض بعض القيود على مرور المركبات بسبب التلوث. ويقول خبراء الصحة إن الكثير من الإيرانيين يعانون من أمراض بسبب التلوث.
